The service covers practical external works for houses, managed housing and commercial sites: the jobs that keep gardens, grounds and shared outdoor areas safe, usable and tidy. Typical tasks include:

How we plan and sequence external works
External work only lasts if the ground beneath it is right. Before quoting, we look at how water moves across the site, where access is available for materials and plant, and where boundaries actually sit. That assessment shapes the order of work: drainage and ground preparation first, then hard surfaces, then fencing and finishing details.
A1's workforce is directly employed and multi-trade, which matters more outdoors than it might first appear. A garden that floods may need a new drain, a rebuilt section of wall and a relaid patio; a boundary job may involve fencing, concreting and minor brickwork. Because our own trades handle each stage, the work is sequenced by one team, with one point of contact, rather than being split between separate firms who each see only part of the problem.
Where groundwork connects to wider maintenance, such as a roofing repair that changes where rainwater discharges, or a refurbishment that needs new external access, we scope the whole job together to reduce disruption and repeat visits.

Much of our external work is for residential customers: gardens that hold water, tired patios, fencing that has failed after winter storms, or outside space that needs reshaping to suit how a household actually uses it.
